Skydive
Jump!
On a slightly cloudy Sunday morning on the 10th of September 2023, brother and sister Naomi and Matthew Symons bravely jumped out of an aeroplane at 15,000 feet and completed their first tandem Skydive, raising over £1,500 in aid of our charity.
Inspired by their brother, Lee, who has Down Syndrome, Naomi and Matthew wanted to give something back to Ups and Downs Southwest, who have supported their family since the birth of Lee.
Naomi Symons: “Thank you for giving me and Matthew the amazing opportunity to skydive for Ups and Downs! It’s lovely to hear that the money we raised is helping your charity! We both thoroughly enjoyed the experience!!”
Michelle Sugg, Fundraising Officer for Ups and Downs Southwest: “We are so grateful to Naomi and Matthew for participating in the Skydive. The money they have raised equates to approximately 40 hours of support, where we can offer our families both emotional support and advice and help with benefit forms or advice on education. The donations really make a difference to who we can help. Thank you for your support”.
