Summer Holiday Fun with Somerset Nature Connections
,We are delighted to offer our young people aged 10-25 an opportunity to explore nature in the Somerset woodlands. Hosted by Joanna Hicks from Somerset Nature, the young people will be able to discover the woods using their senses, get to decorate a wood medallion, experience drumming in the outdoors and (weather permitting) learn how to make a fire.
This experience is over 3 sessions in August.
When?
Wednesday 3rd August 2022 – This session is exploring nature through our senses, a discovery trail and making and decorating a wood medallion.
Wednesday 10th August 2022 – Drumming with a nature connection theme
Wednesday 31st August 2022 – Subject to weather conditions building a fire and toasting marshmallows, nature activity.

How much?
£10 for all 3 sessions
What do I need to bring?
This is an outdoor event where you will be playing outdoors, exploring, getting muddy and dirty, and playing with natural elements and loose parts. Therefore, you will need to come prepared!
Wear;
Warm (old) clothes, bring waterproof coat/trousers, sturdy footwear (walking or Wellington boots), a hat and gloves. For children a full change of clothes is advisable – remember there is no such thing as bad weather just bad clothing! Perhaps a bin liner to sit on in the car if very wet weather! Remember this is Britain in August so you may need all the above plus sunhat and sun cream!
