Ups and Downs Southwest began as a parent support group in 1997 and has always carried at its core, the need and desire to support children who have Down Syndrome and their families to the very best of its ability.
The organisation continues to be parent led and so is able to provide complete empathy and understanding alongside information and advice. Although based in Somerset we have an ever increasing membership also including families from BANES, Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Gloucestershire, Hampshire, Herefordshire, Monmouthshire and Wiltshire.
We endeavour to ensure that our services to families are tailor made to meet your needs. For example, some families love to come to pre-school Littlies days and our rather large Family Days whereas others prefer to just enjoy the quiet individual attention afforded to them by home visits.
